Thanks Giving - (not so thankful)

Thanks giving celebrated:
Six guys, alias napster, pruthi, birju, kuku, m.j., div-yaang,(names have been changed on request), with a bizarre idea of celebrating an American occasion (THANKS GIVING DAY), inspired by the lovely sit-com F.R.I.E.N.D.S., decided to celebrate with revolutionary ideas to make it a memorable evening.

What they planned?
How was it executed?
What was the result?

I got it all…..reporting from bangalore this is your news reporter on your favorite channel “bangalore times” ……so don’t move a muscle and keep watching after this short commercial ………:P…..this is an unsponsored channel ….so no commercials…back to the story….

22nd of November,2007…It was the fourth Thursday of November, and so was the day celebrated as Thanks Giving day all over the world, so was, in the small home of a region in bangalore, where some fanatics did the same.

Visualised as :
1.Food : Chips, Pakodis with ketch-up, kurkure, French fries.
2.Drinks : Wine, Juice, Cold drinks.
3.Thanks giving Special: Chocolate cake.
4.Movies: Rated at 8.1 by 46000 IMDB users, the movie, SUPERBAD, wasn’t a bad choice, to boost the movie, it has got some teen movie of year award too.

Executed as:
1.Food: With bringing the ketch-up, assisting cook for the fries, shopping for other stuff, the plan was well executed.
2.Drinks: There was lot of juice n cold-drinks in fridge, the only thing missing was wine, which in the end, three guys ended up bringing three different brands, not well planned, but 3 bottles of wine(2 white n 1 red), sounded perfect.
3.Thanks giving Special: A good looking, chocolate cake from the confectionary ‘MIDAS TOUCH’ to embrace the occasion.
4.Movies: After non-stop 8 hours download from a torrent, the scene was set.

The Outcome:
1.Thanks giving Special: Started with cutting the cake, which by the way was awesome,(the only good thing of the evening).
2.Drinks : 2 of the wine bottles had cork on it, who in india keeps a cork opener at home, so those two bottles are still kept in fridge, fortunately one didn’t had a cork on it, so after pouring the white wine in respective glasses, cheers all around, the first sip goes in, eewww, its bitter!! are all wines bitter??
That glass took some 2 hours to finish. No more wine from there on.
3.Food: It was OK, what could have gone wrong with packed stuffs.
4.Movie: Superbad, true to its name, the IMDB ratings are pure deception or a strategy my movie watchers(if I have jhelofy this movie you all should do it too), though it was good at some places, but who can see a pervert fat guy, and a dreamy thin guy(equally pervert) for two and half hours, and there plans to get lucky and score on some wild drunk party, with a ending horrible than the movie itself.

In all it was a mixed sort of celebrations, some glitches though, some memories to tell stories in future to friends and family. That’s a lot in a night.
